Kabaddi & My FIRST MATCH

            Kabaddi & My FIRST MATCH

You will think that I have made a blog on Kabaddi so I might be interested in this game from my childhood. But this is not the fact. In fact I came to know about Kabaddi when I was in the 7th standard. When I saw professional players playing in Pro Kabaddi then I realised the true potential of this game. I tried to play it in the school with my friends who were in the school Kabaddi team, that time I didn't know that our school had a Kabaddi team. I started playing with them, they liked my game too. The first match I played was with the school Kabaddi team. They were in need of a player as one of them had an exam on the day of the match so,my friends who were playing in the team requested our sports teacher to replace me instead of the boy. The teacher agreed to do so and I was replaced. So in my debut match I didn't play with my name but the other boys name. It didn't matter my game and I played the match well as everyone of my friends were telling me so.
So this was the story of my FIRST MATCH.
I will update you with indeed more of my KABADDI TALES but till then good bye & have a nice day.

What's KABADDI

Kabaddi is a team sport. Each team consists of seven players. Each team has five players on the bench.

Ground: Since Kabaddi is a field sport, the ground has to be levelled. Professional players play on mats.
The ground is as follows:

When the raider touches one player from the opposite team his team gains a point. If the player makes all the players out of the opposite team in a single go,the team gets 2 points as bonus. The opponent team will try to catch and trap the raider, not allowing him to touch the centered line.
The raider has to chant 'kabaddi kabaddi' without taking a break in the raid. If the raider breaks the chant,he is considered to be out.
This sport is played with two halves with 20 minutes and a half time of 5 minutes(20-5-20) for men and as (15-5-15) for women and for juniors.
